About Miss Nicky
15 years of teaching, a lifetime of dancing.
Dance has been a part of Miss Nicky's life for as long as she can remember. From her earliest years as a little girl taking class, to her early teens when she began helping her teacher demonstrate, dance has always been more than a hobby — it's been a calling.
Miss Nicky began her teaching journey on her own after years of learning alongside her instructors, and this year marks her 15th year leading dancers of all ages and levels at Spotlight Dance Company.
What drives her most is watching each dancer grow — not just in technique, but in confidence and joy. She believes the love of dance should always come first, and that a student who loves what they're doing will always find a way to improve.
She lives by a simple philosophy she's carried with her throughout her career:
“A job is never work, when you love what you do.”
That spirit is at the heart of everything at Spotlight Dance Company.
